The Process

At first, my job is mostly to listen and ask questions.

Before our first meeting, I'll send your student a series of short exercises designed to help them reflect on their experiences. During our first session, we'll use those responses as the starting point for our conversation.

I'll ask questions, listen carefully, and help students identify the experiences that become the foundation of a memorable college application essay. Students often discover that experiences they never imagined would belong in a college application essay are the ones that say the most them.

Together, we'll explore why those experiences matter and what they communicate about the student. Then we'll shape those ideas into an essay that helps admissions readers understand the person behind the application.
